Terms of Service

Netletz (the "Service") is operated by Jerrall Thomas Rankin, an individual sole proprietor ("Netletz", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of the Service. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Beta status. Netletz is currently offered as a public beta. The Service is provided as-is with no uptime guarantee or SLA, features may change without notice, and occasional rough edges should be expected. Cancel anytime — see Refunds.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, which calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax / VAT / GST on our behalf, and handles refunds and chargebacks. Your bank statement will show a charge from LINK.COM* Netletz. See our refund policy for cancellation and refund details.

1. The Service

Netletz provides server-side "Watchers" that watch user-defined conditions (prices, weather, web pages, inbound emails, etc.) and send alerts when those conditions are met.

No affiliation. Netletz is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any third-party site, retailer, airline, campground operator, job board, exchange, government agency, weather provider, or other data source it may monitor on your behalf — including, without limitation, Amazon, eBay, Duffel, any airline or booking site, Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia/UseDirect, GasBuddy, AAA, CoinGecko, the U.S. National Weather Service, Open-Meteo, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Adzuna, Twilio, Stripe, Postmark, or any other brand referenced in the Service. All third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, product names and logos are the property of their respective owners and any reference is for identification purposes only. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of any Watcher complies with the third party's terms of service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal age to contract.

3. Acceptable use

Netletz is intended for lawful, legitimate monitoring use cases. Commercial use, including price monitoring and competitive watching, is permitted. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Monitor, distribute or facilitate access to pornographic or adult content, or sites whose primary purpose is sexually explicit material.
• Engage in or facilitate any illegal activity, including (but not limited to) child sexual abuse material, piracy, fraud, distribution of controlled substances, money laundering, or trafficking.
• Harass, stalk, dox, threaten, defame, or invade the privacy of any person.
• Send spam, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading alerts.
• Interfere with the Service's security or integrity (malware, probing, denial of service, abusive request volume).
• Target sites or APIs in violation of their terms of service, robots.txt, paywalls, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that could cause our infrastructure or IP addresses to be added to blocklists or abuse reports.

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, pause or delete any Watcher we reasonably believe violates this section, and may suspend or terminate the account responsible. We are not liable for any loss resulting from such enforcement action.

3a. Support access

To provide support, diagnose problems, investigate suspected violations of these Terms, or comply with legal obligations, authorized Netletz personnel may access your account data, including your Watcher configurations, watched URLs, alert history, and stored values. Every such access is recorded in an internal audit log (who, when, what was accessed or changed). See our Privacy Notice for more.

4. Intellectual property

Netletz, the Netletz name and logo, and all software, source code, designs, user interfaces, layouts, copy, graphics, illustrations, documentation, and product concepts that make up the Service are the exclusive property of Jerrall Thomas Rankin and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, and other intellectual-property laws. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service within your chosen plan, and nothing more.

Without our prior written permission you agree not to:

• Copy, clone, reproduce, port, or create a derivative or substantially similar product, service, or website based on the Netletz Service, its UI/UX, its feature set, its naming, or its underlying concepts (including the "tiny Watchers that alert on user-defined conditions" product concept and its presentation).
• Scrape, crawl, mirror, or systematically extract content, copy, design assets, or HTML/CSS/JS from the Service.
• Use the Netletz name, logo, or trade dress for any product, service, domain, social account, or marketing in a way that could cause confusion with Netletz.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, algorithms, or trade secrets of the Service, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice from the Service.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Netletz. Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by Netletz without restriction or compensation.

5. Plans, billing and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe, which calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax / VAT / GST on our behalf. Refunds and chargebacks are handled through Stripe. Cancel any time from the Billing page in your account; you keep access through the end of the current paid period. See our refund policy for details.

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep Netletz running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Alerts may be delayed or missed due to upstream data sources, network issues or maintenance — don't rely on Netletz for safety-critical decisions.

7. User content

You grant Netletz a limited license to host and process the watchers, URLs, keywords and configuration you create, solely to provide the Service.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security/fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may cancel anytime through your billing portal.

9. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (loss of profits, data or goodwill). Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law forbids it.

10. Indemnity

You'll indemnify Netletz against claims arising from your content, unlawful use of the Service, or breach of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
